Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Senior Support Engineer to work with strategic enterprise accounts and product teams. You will be among the foremost troubleshooting experts for the API platform, driving reliability, and shaping the future of AI support at scale.

You will design operational processes, automate tasks, and collaborate with Infrastructure and Engineering to ensure readiness for new features. The role is based in Singapore with a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in technical operations roles such as SRE/NOC.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, alerting, observability; SLIs/SLOs.
• Proven leadership in incident response for outages or service disruptions.
• Strong scripting or software engineering (Python) to automate tasks.
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Excellent cross-functional communication in high‑trust environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical guidance for strategic enterprise accounts and product teams.
• Design and run scalable monitoring and incident response processes.
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure reliability for new features and updates.
• Lead real-time incident coordination and post-mortem actions.
• Automate repetitive tasks and integrate tools to improve efficiency.
• Configure monitoring dashboards and alerting to detect issues early.
• Provide weekend/holiday coverage as needed.
