ASMPT SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks an EDM Sinker Machinist to set up and machine intricate cavities in mold chases and inserts with precision. You will emphasize high-speed, accurate Sodick sinker work and efficient management of the AgieCharmilles FORM S350 for superior mold components.

The role requires extreme attention to detail, the ability to hold ±0.005mm tolerances, and independent decision-making for burn sequences and process optimization.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years in high-precision mold/chase fabrication or plastic injection mold making.
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings with GD&T and 3D CAD (STEP/IGES).
• Must consistently hold tolerances of ±0.005mm and achieve fine surface finishes.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate Sodick sinker machines with Linear Motor tech for high-speed, vibration-free machining.
• Manage AgieCharmilles FORM S350 using AC Form HMI and iQ to minimize electrode wear.
• Precisely burn pocket geometries and shut-off features in large mold chases, aligned to mating components.
