Job summary
RECRUITPEDIA PTE. LTD. is seeking an EDM Operator (Sinker) to join a precision engineering and advanced manufacturing team in Singapore.
The role focuses on programming, setting up, and operating EDM sinker machines to produce high-precision tooling components for semiconductor and electronics industries. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in high-precision tooling environments, with hands-on EDM experience on Sodick or GF AgieCharmilles machines, and the ability to interpret GD&T and CAD data.
Qualifications
- NITEC or higher in Precision/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years in high-precision mold/chase fabrication or tooling environments.
- Hands-on EDM sinker programming and operation experience.
Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate EDM sinker machines for tooling and mold components.
- EDM machining of complex mold features and precision tooling parts.
- Prepare and manage electrodes for accuracy and repeatability.
- Optimize machining parameters to meet tolerances and surface finish specs.
- Coordinate automated machining sequences for efficient production.
- Conduct in-process inspections and verify against drawings and GD&T.
