Qualifications

• Education: Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Precision Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Technology, or related.
• Minimum 2–3 years hands-on experience in high-precision plastic injection moulding, ideally in semiconductor/electronics tooling sectors.

Responsibilities

• Set up multi-cavity, high-precision molds, core pulls, complex sliders, and auxiliary equipment.
• Program and fine-tune injection parameters for high-performance resins (e.g., PEEK, LCP, PPS, PEI).
• Diagnose and rectify molding defects to minimize downtime and scrap rates.
• Operate, set up, and troubleshoot 3-axis/5-axis robotic sprue pickers and vision inspection systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on molds, cleaning tool inserts, core pins, and parting lines.
