Job summary

Our client is a global engineering and manufacturing company that designs, builds, tests, and delivers mechanical and flow-control products. Location: Tuas Area, Singapore.

The role focuses on sub-assembly, calibration, and quality checks within Lean manufacturing practices. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, 2–5 years of experience, and proficiency with measuring tools.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing work instructions.
• Hands-on experience with assembly, testing, inspection, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and mechanical assembly tools.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 5S, Kaizen, FIFO, Kanban.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical sub-assembly and final assembly per drawings and work instructions.
• Conduct testing, calibration, and validation to meet performance and quality requirements.
• Inspect assemblies, identify defects, troubleshoot, repair, and rework as needed.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and production docs accurately.
• Operate hand tools, torque wrenches, gauges, calipers, and measuring equipment.
• Maintain production, testing, and quality records.
• Follow Kanban, FIFO, and other inventory practices for smooth flow.
• Aim for daily production targets while upholding safety and quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment per 5S.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and quality.
