Job summary

The Lab of Immune Regulation, Resolution & Tolerance at Singapore Immunology Network (SIgN), part of A*STAR, invites a motivated postdoctoral scientist to advance our understanding of immune tolerance in autoimmunity, focusing on SLE and lupus nephritis. The successful candidate will lead experiments and collaborate across disciplines.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biomedical Sciences/Engineering with Immunology specialization.
• Strong understanding of immunology and autoimmunity.
• Peer-reviewed publications relevant to career stage.
• Experience designing experiments with high technical rigor.
• Familiarity with cell culture, primary immune cell isolation and flow cytometry.
• Familiarity with next generation sequencing including spatial transcriptomics and TCRseq+scRNAseq.
• Excellent problem solving and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Investigate dynamic immune composition and cross-talk during disease progression from SLE to lupus nephritis.
• Perform in vivo mouse experiments and handle mouse breeding and procedures.
• Design, optimize and analyze flow cytometry experiments across mouse and human tissues.
• Conduct in vitro assays including FACS and immune cell culture.
• Handle human clinical samples under regulatory and ethical approvals.
• Collaborate to set up and analyze sequencing datasets (TCR-seq, spatial transcriptomics).
• Analyze data using FlowJo, R and Python; contribute to team mentoring and collaboration.
