Job description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Post Fixture specialist for one of our global shipping clients. The candidate should have strong expertise in laytime calculations and a solid understanding of major charter parties. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant experience handling multiple voyages per vessel, with complex cargo operations involving multiple customers, varied load/discharge ports, proration requirements, and frequent liaison with the chartering side to clarify charter party rider clauses.

Primary Responsibilities

Issue invoices, follow up AP/ARs, doing laytime calculations, negotiate laytime calculations till settlement of funds, arrange brokerage payment, meet month end closing requirements.

Key Accountabilities
  • Issue freight invoices and follow up diligently on all AR collections.
  • Compute laytime calculations, prepare demurrage claims, and issue invoices accordingly.
  • Raise AP vouchers, arrange payments, and follow up with stakeholders.
  • Process and settle brokerage commission invoices.
  • Liaise closely with internal stakeholders such as the Commercial team, Operations team, and Accounting team to ensure smooth coordination of voyage-related matters.
  • Handle reporting for month-end closing, KPIs, and other financial/operational metrics.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Accounts or Maritime Studies preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant shipping industry experience, with direct exposure to laytime calculations.
