Job summary

Lion Global Investors Limited in Singapore seeks a senior Performance & Risk Specialist to support portfolio analytics and reporting. You will maintain portfolios and benchmarks, generate performance and risk reports, and document department processes to improve efficiency.

The role requires a quantitative degree, 5+ years in financial services, and proficiency with FactSet, MSCI RiskMetrics, Morningstar, Python, Excel and Bloomberg. Strong analytical and collaborative skills are essential.

Qualifications

• University degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., accounting, finance, computing or IT)
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial services
• Proficiency in FactSet, MSCI RiskMetrics, Morningstar, Python; programming/macro skills advantageous
• Excel and Bloomberg proficiency required
• Strong analytical, meticulous, and data handling abilities
• Able to work independently and in a team

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the portfolios and benchmarks' performances
• Generate performance and risk related reports and deliver the reports in timely manner
• Develop, document and improve department's processes and procedures
• Perform quantitative and qualitative assessment on overall portfolio risk exposures and highlight exceptions for further action
• Monitor portfolios' performance and risk to ensure compliance with approved risk parameters/limits
• Maintain the firm's compliance with GIPS (Global Investment Performance Standards)
• Participate in the implementation, maintenance and enhancement of performance and risk related systems
• Provide support to portfolio managers, business development and RFls/RFPs on performance related issues
• Collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders including external service providers when required
• Support internal and external audits relating to portfolio risk and performance
• Contribute to a collaborative, accountable and high-performing team environment

Pre-requisites

• At least a university degree in a quantitative discipline such as accounting, finance, computing or IT-related
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience preferably in a financial services organisation
• Proficiency in FactSet, MSCI Riskmetrics, Morningstar, Python and programming/macro writing skills are advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg are required
• Quantitatively inclined, analytical and highly organised and meticulous in handling voluminous amount of data
• Logical and methodical in solving issues effectively
• Able to work/learn independently as well as in a team
