Job summary

Sumari International Jewellery (S) Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a short-term retail associate to assist customers, manage sales, and maintain pop-up stores at Orchard Central, Orchard Gateway, Novena Square and Raffles Place.

The 3-month role runs 11:00–21:30, starting 15 September 2026, with weekend shifts and sales commissions. You will learn gemstones, handle transactions (NETS, credit cards, PayNow, cash), and support daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist and manage administrative tasks to support smooth store operations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by guiding customers in selecting and purchasing jewelry items.
• Explain product features and benefits clearly to help customers make informed decisions.
• Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and returns professionally.
• Organize, clean, and maintain visually appealing jewelry displays.
• Process sales transactions accurately using NETS, Credit Card, PayNow, and cash.
• Learn basic knowledge of gemstones and metals to enhance customer interactions.
• Understand product details, pricing, styling, and promotions to confidently address questions.
• Handle jewelry and gemstones with care to prevent damage during sales and display.
• Manage sales enquiries and process orders across all sales platforms.
• Maintain store housekeeping and inventory areas.
• Keep accurate stock inventory records to support inventory management.
• Achieve daily sales targets and maximize sales through customer engagement.
• Create personal performance value by continuously improving sales and service skills.
• Work flexible hours including weekends and holidays to meet store scheduling needs.

Job Summary

This short-term retail role involves assisting customers with jewelry selection, managing sales transactions, maintaining store presentation, and supporting daily operations at various pop-up locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist and manage administrative tasks as directed by the Direct Manager to support smooth store operations
• Provide exceptional customer service by guiding customers in selecting and purchasing jewelry items
• Explain product features and benefits clearly to help customers make informed decisions
• Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and returns professionally and positively to maintain satisfaction
• Organize, clean, and maintain visually appealing jewelry display areas consistently
• Process sales transactions accurately using NETS, Credit Card, PayNow, and cash payment methods
• Learn and apply basic knowledge of gemstones and metals to enhance customer interactions
• Understand product details, pricing, styling, and promotions to confidently address customer questions
• Handle jewelry and gemstones with care to prevent damage during sales and display
• Manage sales enquiries and process orders across all sales platforms efficiently
• Maintain store housekeeping and cleanliness, including displays and inventory areas
• Keep accurate stock inventory records to support inventory management
• Achieve daily sales targets and maximize sales through effective customer engagement
• Create personal performance value by continuously improving sales and service skills
• Work flexible hours including weekends and holidays to meet store scheduling needs

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Previous retail or sales experience, preferably in jewelry

Other Information

• Short-term position: 3 months
• Start date: 15 SEPT 2026
• Job locations: Pop-up stores at Orchard Central, Orchard Gateway, Novena Square, and Raffles Place
• Working hours: Follow shopping mall hours (11 am - 9:30 pm)
• No overtime pay
• Salary: Starting at S$13 per hour plus sales commission; daily target commission available
• Number of hires: 3
• Minimum working days: 3-4 days per week
• Flexible workdays available
• Weekend work required: Minimum 2-3 days including Friday
• Weekend manpower hire: 2 people
