Job summary

Synapxe in Singapore offers an Internship position in the Cyber Operations & Technologies team, focusing on cybersecurity operations, automation, and responsible AI. As a final-year diploma student, you will assist in endpoint security, automation requirements, and documentation, while learning best practices in security operations and stakeholder collaboration

Qualifications

• Final-year diploma student in cybersecurity/IT or related field.
• Interest in cybersecurity operations, automation, and AI.
• Basic knowledge of networking and endpoint security.
• Experience with Excel for reporting and analysis.
• Exposure to scripting languages is a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Join our Cyber Operations & Technologies team and gain hands‑on experience in cybersecurity operations, endpoint protection, and automation within Singapore's public healthcare ecosystem. You will support security operations while exploring automation and responsible AI solutions to improve efficiency and strengthen cyber defence.

The selected intern(s) will assist in the following:

1. Cybersecurity Operations

• Support endpoint security operations, including device control, host-based firewalls, and threat indicator management
• Investigate operational issues, perform basic troubleshooting, and elevate findings where required
• Assist with user enquiries, operational reporting, and cybersecurity project activities

2. Automation & Responsible AI

• Identify repetitive processes and recommend opportunities for automation
• Support automation and AI initiatives through requirements gathering, testing, validation, and documentation
• Assist in evaluating AI-generated outputs and ensuring responsible use of AI technologies
• Contribute to service improvement and operational efficiency initiatives

3. Documentation & Stakeholder Engagement

• Support asset reconciliation, process documentation, and knowledge management activities
• Prepare reports, stakeholder updates, and project documentation
• Participate in knowledge transfer and handover activities

About You:

• Final-year diploma student pursuing Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Network Security, Cloud Computing, or related disciplines
• Strong interest in cybersecurity operations, automation, and AI technologies
• Basic understanding of computers, networking, endpoint security, and cybersecurity concepts
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis
• Exposure to Python, PowerShell, VBA, or scripting languages is advantageous
• Interested in learning automation techniques and the responsible use of AI
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and willing to learn in a dynamic environment
• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with team member
• Independent, fast-learner, and self-driven
• Good team player with strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
