Job summary

Synapxe invites a final-year diploma student to join as an intern to gain hands-on experience in powering a healthier Singapore through technology. You will contribute to network management, security, and cloud-related initiatives while learning from industry professionals.

You will assist in onboarding devices into NMS, mapping network topology, and supporting asset inventory, audits, and documentation. This role offers real-world exposure and a collaborative team environment to grow.

Qualifications

• Final-year diploma student pursuing Networking, Cybersecurity or related disciplines.
• Interest in network infrastructure, security and cloud technologies.
• Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching) understood.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and monitoring tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in network management and operations tasks.
• Support onboarding/offboarding of devices into NMS.

The Selected Intern(s) Will Assist In The Following

• Network Management & Operations
• Support onboarding and offboarding of network devices into Network Management Systems (NMS)
• Assist in network topology mapping and network path monitoring activities
• Support network asset inventory management and repository maintenance
• Contribute to audit, compliance, and process documentation updates
• Network Security & Access Control
• Participate in Proof-of-Concept (POC) activities involving wired and wireless device onboarding
• Support testing and implementation of network access control technologies such as 802.1X, MAB, and EAP-TLS
• Assist in authentication and authorization initiatives using PKI certificates
• Gain exposure to network security protocols including EAP, RADIUS, and 802.1X
• Infrastructure Projects & Firewall Management
• Support project coordination activities for Internet Browsing Zone initiativesAssist in firewall administration, including subnet management and firewall rule reviews
• Participate in infrastructure improvement and service enhancement initiatives

About You

• Final-year diploma student pursuing Networking, Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics, Information Technology, Cloud Computing, or related disciplines
• Keen interest in network infrastructure, network security, and cloud technologies
• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing, switching, or network security principles
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, network monitoring tools, or cybersecurity concepts is advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
