Job summary

Ministry of Manpower in Singapore is seeking a policy-focused professional to join the Workplace Policy and Strategy Division. You will craft initiatives that uplift lower-wage workers while balancing business growth and a healthy labour market.

The role involves data-driven policy development, engagement with tripartite stakeholders, and collaboration with government partners to ensure policy intent aligns with operational delivery.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, pathfinding, analytical, writing and communication skills.
• Comfortable with using data to identify critical policy issues and concerns to work on.
• Good interpersonal skills to engage and seek buy-in from stakeholders.
• Able to commit about 20 working hours a week; PwDs are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Develop and steer policies and initiatives in key areas (PWM, Workfare Skills Support) to uplift lower-wage workers and support employers.
• Leverage data analytics to develop robust policy solutions, monitor outcomes, and derive insights for iteration.
• Engage and negotiate with tripartite stakeholders (NTUC and SNEF), industry associations, and unions to seek alignment.
• Collaborate with operations divisions and government partners to ensure policy and operations are tightly integrated.
