Job summary

GovTech Singapore is hiring an Assistant Director, Engineering Management (Platform Infrastructure) to lead scalable, secure platform infrastructure across cloud channels and Kubernetes environments.

You will define standards, mentor engineers, and drive modernization initiatives while collaborating with security, operations, and application teams to improve reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Strong experience in infrastructure/platform engineering and cloud operations.
• Experience with observability, automation, and reliability engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering of scalable, secure platform infrastructure.
• Define and drive engineering standards, automation strategy, and operational best practices.
• Lead Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, observability, and platform modernisation initiatives.
• Drive resiliency improvements including failover, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and health standards.
• Architect and support Kubernetes platforms and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex production platform incidents.
• Drive reduction of operational toil through automation and standardisation.
• Partner with security teams on remediation, hardening, governance.
