Job summary

GovTech Singapore is seeking a Platform Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-based platforms underpinning Singapore’s public digital services. You will work on AWS-based infrastructure, IaC automation, container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes, and secure, reliable deployments.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to keep systems performant and secure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Platform/DevOps/Infrastructure Engineering focusing on cloud platforms (AWS).
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, services, and security practices.
• Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting.
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls).
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (CloudWatch, Grafana).
• Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using IaC tools.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and ensure platform reliability and health.
• Manage and optimize Docker and Kubernetes-based deployments.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient releases.
• Collaborate with development teams to align infrastructure with app requirements.
• Enforce security best practices across infrastructure components.
• Participate in on-call rotations for 24/7 support.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve infrastructure efficiency.
• Document infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures.
