Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in CS, SE, IS, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years in platform engineering, systems engineering, DevOps, or enterprise device management.
• Hands-on with enterprise MDM; Jamf Pro preferred: configuration profiles, policies, scoping, patch and deployment workflows.
• Systems integration capability: connecting enterprise platforms into automated workflows via REST APIs.
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and customize the device management platform (Jamf Pro) to meet unique requirements.
• Set up, configure, and operate the asset management platform (Oomnitza) as the system of record for the fleet.
• Build integrations and automation connecting device management and asset management with Apple’s internal systems.
• Develop and run tests validating the platform, then support its rollout.
• Define monitoring, alerting, and operational practices for the platform and fleet.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, infrastructure, and operations teams to translate requirements into platform capability.

Description

Our team is expanding device management services to support our manufacturing environments, at significant scale. It spans two connected areas: device management, covering configuration, policy, and deployment across the fleet; and asset management, covering each device through its lifecycle from procurement to retirement. The workflows that connect the two are what define the device experience, and you'll work across both, with support to build depth on the asset management side as you go.

Responsibilities

• Device Management: Design, configure, and customize our device management platform (Jamf Pro) to meet unique requirements.
• Asset Management: Set up, configure, and operate our asset management platform (Oomnitza) as the system of record for the fleet, ensuring accurate tracking and reliable reporting.
• Integration & Automation: Build the integrations and automation that connect our device management and asset management platforms with Apple's internal systems, so device state and lifecycle events stay consistent without manual intervention.
• Testing & Deployment: Develop and run the testing that validates the platform, then support its rollout.
• Reliability & Operations: Define monitoring, alerting, and operational practices for the platform and the fleet it manages.
• Partnership: Work within our global team to collaborate with engineering, security, infrastructure, and operations teams to translate requirements into platform capability.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years in platform engineering, systems engineering, DevOps, or enterprise device management.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise MDM, Jamf Pro preferred: configuration profiles, policies, scoping, patch and deployment workflows. Including a solid working knowledge of Apple platforms (macOS, iOS, iPadOS) and client-management fundamentals.
• Systems integration capability: a track record of connecting enterprise platforms and tools into automated workflows, with comfort working against REST APIs.
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Jamf certification (200 or higher) or comparable depth in Jamf Pro administration or experience.
• Oomnitza certification (Certified Specialist or Engineer) or comparable ITAM administration experience: device lifecycle from procurement to retirement, compliance, and reporting.
• Cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, GCP or AliCloud), containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes), or CI/CD pipelines.
• Additional languages such as Go, Swift, or Java.
• Familiarity with enterprise security principles, identity services, and compliance standards.
