Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a fixed-term contract (1 year) to work within the Co-Development Business Unit in Singapore. You will help design, build, and maintain scalable platform capabilities for government digital products, with a strong focus on automation, security, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience, including hands-on work with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Comfortable writing code, with a focus on Infrastructure as Code and other "as code" work — pipelines, configuration, and monitoring — rather than application features.
• An application development background is a plus, but not required. We care most that you can codify infrastructure and operations.
• Familiarity with Agile practices (e.g. Scrum, Extreme Programming).
• Able to write Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform), and comfortable expressing pipelines, configuration, and monitoring as code.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and version control with Git.
• Basic understanding of cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Build the platform and tooling that product teams rely on to ship end-to-end software.
• Design and build systems with security, reliability, and scalability in mind.
• Create shared platform capabilities — templates, paved paths, and reusable modules for rapid onboarding.
• Migrate existing products onto the platform as it matures.
• Break down problems with team leads to find pragmatic solutions.
• Write infrastructure, pipelines, and monitoring as code with version control and peer review.
• Automate routine operations and support CI/CD deployment practices.
• Provision and manage multiple environments for repeatable deployments.
• Support day-to-day operations including monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
