Job summary

NVPC is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to provide technical leadership for the Giving.sg platform. You will work with Platform Lead and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, review vendor proposals, and drive platform reliability and security.

The role also focuses on data, integration readiness and AI governance. The 1-year contract role emphasizes security-by-design, risk management and collaboration across technology and non-profit stakeholders

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline.
7+ years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, technical architecture, or a related role.
Experience working with external vendors and technology partners, including reviewing proposed solutions and providing technical direction.
Strong ability to translate business needs into practical, sustainable technical solutions and to articulate architectural trade-offs and risks.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business, product, engineering and technology teams.
Experience in the non-profit, public sector or digital platform environment would be an advantage.
Ability to review architecture diagrams, solution design documents and vendor proposals and translate trade-offs into recommendations.
Ability to communicate complex technical issues to business and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for Giving.sg, including solution design and platform development.
Review solutions proposed by internal teams and vendors, challenging assumptions and ensuring they meet engineering standards and business needs.
Turn business needs into practical and sustainable technical solutions with the Platform Lead.
Identify risks and opportunities to improve reliability, security, scalability and performance.
Monitor platform performance and recommend improvements considering cost and long-term needs.
Strengthen platform data and integration foundations, including data flows and API design.
Support AI-enabled use cases with data quality, privacy, governance and risk considerations.
Oversee testing and quality checks to ensure solutions are reliable, secure and fit for purpose.
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data protection and organizational standards.
Work with Enterprise Product & Service teams to address security risks.
Ensure security-by-design in platform changes (access control, audits, third-party risks).
Assess risks such as data leakage, bias, explainability and governance in AI initiatives.
