Job summary

ARMOR ASIA IMAGING SUPPLIES PTE LTD is seeking a Plant Engineer to support plant operations and boost manufacturing efficiencies. You will plan and coordinate activities, including installation, modification, performance optimization, and maintenance of equipment.

Key tasks include preventive and corrective maintenance, installation and commissioning, diagnosing root causes, improving operational efficiency, managing spare parts, and maintaining accurate records to minimize disruptions.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
• Perform installation, commissioning, and maintenance of machinery and production equipment.
• Conduct testing and diagnose root causes of equipment malfunctions and failures, including routine maintenance.
• Identify and implement engineering solutions to support production requirements and improve operational efficiency.
• Manage spare parts inventory to minimize production disruptions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Carry out other operational duties as assigned to support plant operations.

JOB SUMMARY

The Plant Engineer plays a key role in supporting plant operations and improving manufacturing efficiencies. The position is responsible for planning and coordinating manufacturing activities within the plant, including the installation, modification, performance optimization, and maintenance of equipment and machinery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
• Perform installation, commissioning, and maintenance of machinery and production equipment.
• Conduct testing and diagnose root causes of equipment malfunctions and failures, including routine maintenance.
• Identify and implement engineering solutions to support production requirements and improve operational efficiency.
• Manage spare parts inventory to minimize production disruptions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Carry out other operational duties as assigned to support plant operations.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.

Experience:

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

Competencies:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Project Management tools.
• Knowledge of software programming will be an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for equipment issues.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings.
• Demonstrated people and contractor management skills.
