Qualifications
- Local Shipyard Piping Experience – Minimum 5 years
- Able to read P&ID and trace lines onboard vessels
- Physically fit, able to climb scaffolding
- Leadership and team management skills
- Problem solving ability and attention to detail
- Previous pipe labelling experience (Minimum 1 year)
Supervision and Training
- Manage a team of labelers, providing guidance and training on proper pipe labelling procedures
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry standards
Planning and Organization
- Develop a comprehensive plan for labelling pipes based on project specifications and requirements
- Coordinate with client representatives and other stakeholders to integrate labelling schedules into overall project timeline
Quality Control
- Conduct regular inspections to verify the accuracy and quality of pipe labels
- Implement corrective actions when deviations from standards are identified
Documentation
- Maintain detailed records of pipe labeling activities, including dates, locations and label specifications
- Generate reports to update project management on progress and compliance
Material Management
- Ensure an adequate supply of labeling materials, such as markers and adhesive labels
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment
Communication
- Facilitate clear communication channels between the labeling team and other project stakeholders
- Address any labeling-related concerns or inquiries promptly
