Job summary

The National University of Singapore in Singapore seeks a Research Engineer to advance Piezoelectric MEMS sensors and related neural network models for human-robot interaction. The role combines design, simulation, fabrication and experimental verification at Kent Ridge Campus.

You will guide FYP projects, publish first-author papers in top journals, and collaborate with the Electrical and Computer Engineering team. Fluency in English and hands-on MEMS fabrication are essential.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate coursework in Piezoelectric MEMS with grade A- or better.
• Hands-on microfabrication experience in clean room with publications.
• 2+ years MEMS device fabrication and testing experience.
• 1+ year MEMS and Photonics design experience.
• Proficiency with listed simulation tools.
• Excellent English written and spoken.
• At least one first-author international peer-reviewed journal paper.

Responsibilities

• Design, Simulation, and Fabrication of Piezoelectric MEMS tactile sensors; MEMS gas sensors
• Design, modelling and testing of neural networks aiming for human-machine-interface
• Write 1 or more research papers based on derived data of the above devices in the first year in top journals
• Supporting and guiding the experiments of FYP students
