Qualifications

• Bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related discipline.
• Knowledge of multi-physics modelling for non-Newtonian materials.
• Experience with 3D printing technologies, sensors, system integration, experimental testing, or measurement systems will be advantageous.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, C++, LabVIEW, or equivalent tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Support literature reviews on injury biomechanics, physiological effects, computational modelling.
• Develop, implement and validate computational simulation models for impact and injury prediction.
• Design and conduct experimental studies using instrumented manikins and test platforms.
• Assist in design, fabrication, and characterization of tissue simulants and non-Newtonian materials.
• Develop and optimize experimental setups, protocols and data acquisition systems.
• Analyze experimental and simulation data, prepare technical reports and documentation.
• Support integration of advanced materials and sensing into robotics and interdisciplinary research.
• Inline sensor system development for 3D printing of non-Newtonian materials.
• Coordinate discussions with collaborators and track milestones and deliverables.
• Maintain laboratory safety procedures and liaise with external vendors.
