Job summary

Corning Incorporated in Singapore seeks a customer-facing engineer to lead technical engagements across the product lifecycle, ensuring successful design-in, deployment, and adoption of Photonics Connectivity Solutions.

You will collaborate with the PCS Commercial team, Sales, and Manufacturing to address issues, provide documentation and training, and support field trials, product evaluations, and customer support at sites. 50% travel within the region is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Science, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in optical fibers and connectivity.
• Ability to interact frequently with customers at a technical level, understand needs and convey value.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and communicate across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Support customer co-design activities, field trials, and product evaluations.
• Complete on-site investigations of technical and product issues raised by customers.
• Act as the primary means of field remediation to resolve issues at customer sites.
• Support sales demonstrations and presentations at customer sites and trade shows.
• Provide training, troubleshooting and field support to ensure successful adoption.
• Capture competitive information and provide feedback to Product Line Management, Manufacturing and Sales/Marketing.
