Job summary

Corning Incorporated in Asia seeks a field technical professional to drive design-in, deployment, and adoption of PCS solutions across the product lifecycle. You will partner with customers and internal teams, deliver targeted documentation and training, and provide guidance while gathering feedback to address issues quickly.

With a Bachelor’s in engineering and at least 3 years in optical fibers, you will communicate effectively, travel up to 50% regionally, and occasionally work outside normal

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Applied Science, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in optical fibers and connectivity.
• Able to work with customers at a technical level and convey value.
• Independent worker with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication across all levels, internal and external.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of Corning Optical Communications products.

Responsibilities

• Support customer co-design activities, field trials, and product evaluations.
• Complete on-site investigations of technical and product issues.
• Serve as the primary field contact to address issues at customer sites.
• Support sales demonstrations and technical presentations.
• Provide training, troubleshooting and field support for successful adoption.
• Evaluate Corning and competitor products to aid design-in decisions.
• Report competitive information and feedback to Product and Manufacturing teams.
• Travel to manufacturing facilities as needed to resolve issues.
