Job summary

NHG Health is seeking locum nurses to perform venepuncture for inpatients at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and NCID to collect blood specimens for laboratory investigations.

You will also support initiatives to review and improve work processes and conduct HIV screen interviews. Flexi-day schedules are offered from Monday to Friday, 8am–2pm, with Monday mandatory; please indicate preferred days in your application.

Qualifications

• Experience in venepuncture (min 1 year, recent and active).
• Able to commit to first 3 days, full day (7am-4pm) training.
• Venepuncture certificate or Nursing qualifications.
• Able to work independently and as a team.

Job description

You will perform blood-taking procedures (venepuncture) on inpatients in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and in the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) to collect blood specimens for laboratory investigations.

You will also support sectional initiatives to review and improve work processes to achieve organisational goals.

You will also conduct HIV screen interviews for patients

We offer flexi-day schedules to prospective locums from Monday - Friday for working hours from 8am - 2pm (Monday mandatory). Please indicate in your application the configuration of days preferred.

Requirements

• Experience in venepuncture (min recent and active 1 yr) required.

• Possess a venepuncture certificate / Nursing qualifications
• Able to work independently and a team player
• Due to nature of locum, only Singaporeans and Singaporean PRs will be considered for shortlisting.
