Job summary

Tan Tock Seng Hospital is seeking a dedicated venepuncture technician to perform blood-taking procedures across inpatient settings, including elderly patients at TTSH, NCID and ICH. Training will be provided with no prior experience required.

The role requires independence as well as strong teamwork, good communication skills, and flexibility to work two rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays. This is a full-time position to support patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood‑taking procedures (venepuncture) to collect blood specimens for laboratory investigations at inpatient settings (mainly adult & geriatric) in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) and Integrated Care Hub (ICH).
• Support sectional initiatives to review and improve work processes to achieve organisational goals.
• Conduct HIV screen interviews for patients.
• Support the Section Leader in other operational and administrative matters.

• Support the Section Leader in other operational and administrative matters.

Requirements

• Have a keen interest in blood‑taking (venepuncture)
• No experience needed as training will be provided
• Able to work independently and can be a team player
• Possess good communication skills
• Able to work 2 rotating shifts which includes weekends and public holidays. Working hours are as follows (based on roster pattern):
• 7am - 4pm
• 8am - 5pm
• 3pm - 9.30pm (PM shift)
