Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a PhD in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong programming and problem-solving ability.
• Experience in applied machine learning, familiar with algorithms such as Collaborative Filtering, Matrix Factorization, Factorization Machines, Word2vec, Logistic Regression, Gradient Boosting Trees, Deep Neural Networks, Wide and Deep, etc.
• Experience in Deep Learning Tools such as TensorFlow/PyTorch.
• Experience with at least one programming language like C++/Python or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Participate in building large-scale (billion-level) E-commerce recommendation algorithms and systems, including commodity, live stream, and short video recommendations.
• Build long and short term user interest models, analyze large data and design efficient latent-interest algorithms.
• Design, develop, evaluate and iterate on predictive models for candidate generation and ranking, including real-time data pipelines and feature engineering.
• Design and build supporting/debugging tools as needed.
• Support production of scalable and optimised AI/ML models.
• Focus on building algorithms for extraction/transformation/loading of large volumes of realtime, unstructured data for AI/ML deployment.
• Run experiments to test model performance and resolve issues.
• Work in a team setting applying statistics, scripting and programming skills.
• Collaborate with platforms where models are deployed.
