Job summary

Woodlands Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to support Pharmacists and Technicians in daily operations. You will help process medication orders for inpatient and outpatient dispensing, handle cashiering, and ensure adherence to Good Dispensing Practice.

You will assist with stock reception, storage, and inventory control while providing friendly service to patients and hospital staff. The role includes receptionist duties in the pharmacy, assisting in staff training, and taking part in

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE “O” or “N” Levels.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Customer service skills desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in processing medication orders for inpatient and outpatient dispensing.
• Perform cashier and billing functions.
• Adhere to Good Dispensing Practice policies and procedures.
• Provide advice on products kept in pharmacy.
• Answer telephone and walk-in enquiries from patients and staff.
• Assist in reception and patient registration in the pharmacy area.
• Support in maintaining quality customer service.
• Receive, unpack and check stocks against documents.
• Arrange stocks in FEFO order.
• Handle stock receipts and inventory transfers in the system.
• Support stock counts during inventory.
• Keep pharmacy areas clean and ready for daily operations.
• Participate in hospital activities and staff welfare events.
• Assist in daily manpower allocation and training of new staff.
