Job summary

Woodlands Health in Singapore seeks a Pharmacy Assistant to support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in daily operations. You will assist in processing medication orders for inpatient and outpatient dispensing, manage stock, and ensure FEFO inventory control, while delivering courteous patient service.

Responsibilities also include handling enquiries, assisting in reception and patient registration, and helping maintain a clean, compliant pharmacy area, with participation in hospital

JOB PURPOSE

Assists Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians in the management of the operation of pharmacy.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist in processing of medication orders for inpatient and outpatient dispensing and supplies.

1. Perform cashier and billing functions.

1. To adhere with the policies and procedure pertaining to Good Dispensing Practice

1. Able to provide advice on the products kept in pharmacy.

1. Handle telephone and walk-in enquiries from patients and hospital staff.

1. Assist in the reception and patient registration in the pharmacy areas.

1. Assist in providing quality customer service.

1. Receive, unpack and check stocks against the appropriate documents, to ensure that items supplied are correct and accounted for.

1. Arrange stocks in FEFO order.

1. Perform stock receipts and issues/ transfer in the inventory systems.

1. During stocktake, assist in counting the stock.

1. Assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory of stocks in the areas of work such as replenishing of stock in the pharmacy.

1. Maintains the cleanliness of the pharmacy work areas and prepare work areas for daily operations.

1. Support the hospital by participating actively in the various activities organized by the hospital. Activities include QC, community projects, staff welfare and recreational activities and etc.

1. Assist in daily manpower role allocation.

1. Assist in orientating and training new staff assigned to the section.
2. Other duties directed by the supervisors.

SPECIALISED ROLES/ FUNCTIONS

1. Perform medication repackaging as part of pharmacy automation system in accordance with repackaging procedures.
