Job summary

Abbott is seeking an Engineering Scheduler in Singapore to orchestrate maintenance planning aligned with production needs. You’ll create annual and weekly schedules, manage downtime budgets, and ensure resources are allocated efficiently across the plant.

You’ll collaborate across operations, maintain GMP compliance, and generate performance reports using Cognos. The role requires 3–5 years in maintenance planning with MAXIMO experience and a degree in engineering.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of practical maintenance experience in a Pharmaceutical, Food, or Petrochemical Plant, or equivalent.
• Knowledge in Project Management skills.
• Experience with MAXIMO is a plus.
• Able to make fast decisions, react efficiently to situations, and work independently.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a Diploma with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up yearly maintenance and projects plan (including downtime budget).
• Align yearly plan with production.
• Develop weekly schedule from Ready backlog and available hours.
• Discuss and align maintenance planning with operations weekly.
• Freeze weekly maintenance plan and communicate to stakeholders.
• Review adherence to weekly maintenance plans and reschedule as needed.
• Ensure Maximo-based work orders are accurately reflected.
• Act as the Maximo Super User for scheduling workflows and data accuracy.
• Generate scheduling performance reports in Cognos.
• Keep equipment maintained with minimal impact to production uptime.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize maintenance windows.
• Track and report weekly/monthly maintenance planning metrics.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by Head of Department.
• Comply with GMP, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
