Job summary

CRAWFURD HOSPITAL PTE. LTD. invites an Anaesthesia Nurse to join the Operating Theatre. The role involves pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing care, assisting anaesthesiologists, and contributing to quality assurance across the department.

You will scrub and circulate in OT and Endoscopy, participate in patient assessments, and support a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective anaesthesia delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Nursing with a valid Singapore Nursing Board License.
• Advanced Diploma or Post-Basic qualification in Peri-operative Nursing/Anaesthesia Nursing or equivalent is preferred.
• Registered with Singapore Nursing Board.
• Possess Basic Life Support (BCLS).
• Min of 3 years of work experience in Operating Theatre Setting or at least 1 year in Endoscopy cases.
• Effective team player and willing to learn.
• Good communication skills and able to build rapport easily.
• Confident and poised in delivery of care.
• Able to perform rotating shift duties up to 12 hours (average 44 hours per work week) including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care by advocating for the patients.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care pre-, intra-, and post-operative.
• Assist to develop unit audits in line with Operating Theatre and Endoscopy policies.
• Support staff in Quality Assurance matters affecting the department.
• Conduct thorough preoperative evaluations and review medical histories.
• Collaborate with anaesthesiologists and surgical teams on anaesthesia care plans.
• Safely administer anaesthesia (general, regional, or local) during procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and anaesthesia levels throughout procedures.
• Oversee postoperative recovery, managing pain relief and complications.
• Perform scrub and circulating duties in the Operating Theatre and Endoscopy Suite.
• Assist in implementing projects such as quality improvement initiatives.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team and lead OT technicians to maintain safety.
