Job summary

WAGO ELECTRONIC PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a dynamic Performance Chain Manager / Project Manager. You will oversee end-to-end project processes across product management, R&D, procurement, production, and logistics, coordinating international teams and external partners.

The role requires a technical degree, proven leadership, and a hands-on approach to sensor technology and industrial power electronics. English is mandatory, Chinese is a plus, with an attractive, performance-driven package.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Master of Science degree in a technical field, preferably Electrical engineering.
  • Experience leading international and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Proactive mindset with strong execution abilities.
  • Hands-on experience in industrial electronics/automation technology.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and project planning software such as MS Project.
  • Language skills: English is mandatory, Chinese will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end project processes covering the performance chain (product management, R&D, procurement, production, quality assurance, logistics, marketing and sales).
  • Manage relevant stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment, collaboration, and successful project outcomes.
  • Establish the project strategy and plan phases in line with quality, economic, and time requirements; accountable for budget and timeline.
  • Ensure efficient resource planning within the company and manage external service providers and partners.
  • Propose and manage project budget and cash flow with accurate estimations.
  • Ensure proper planning, documentation, and regular reporting to project owners.
  • Proactively search for alternatives if stakeholder misses performance targets.
  • Lead collaboration among different R&D centers within the company.

Job description

WAGO is a well-known Electronic Automation Company who is represented in Singapore with a fully owned subsidiary for more than 25 years and has a well-established infrastructure locally.

We have set up a R&D Competence Center in Singapore to better cope with the arising global market demand. The new R&D Competence Center will start its operations in the already existing infrastructure in Singapore.

The focus of the new R&D Competence Center in Singapore will lay on the business areas of sensor technology and power electronics for serving the energy, building, industrial and future mobility sectors.

We are currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Performance Chain Manager / Project Manager, someone with a proven track record and a genuine interest in sensors/power electronics devices/industrial power supplies. If you bring a wealth of experience in project management, coupled with a passion for advancing sensor technology and power electronics, we welcome you to apply for this role.

Your scope of tasks & responsibilities

  • Project management: Oversee end-to-end project processes covering the entire performance chain (product management, R&D, procurement, production, quality assurance, logistics, marketing and sales). Projects may involve international internal and/or third-party development/manufacturing service providers.
  • Stakeholder management: Efficiently manage relevant stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment, collaboration, and successful project outcomes.
  • Project strategy and planning: Establish the project strategy and plan the project phases in accordance with quality, economic, and time requirements. Accountable for the project budget and timeline.
  • Resource management: Ensure the most efficient resource planning within the company through international cooperation. Manage also external service providers and partners in an effective manner.
  • Budget and controlling: Propose and manage project budget and cash flow in a transparent and effective manner. Avoid underbudget or overbudget through proper project planning and accurate estimations with experiences.
  • Reporting: Ensure proper planning, documentation, and regular reporting to project owners.
  • Problem-solving: Proactively search for alternatives if stakeholder fails to meet the required and requested performance to maintain project targets and KPIs.
  • International collaboration: Lead the collaboration among different R&D centers within the company for project purposes.

Your professional profile -qualifications & competences-

  • Bachelor/Master of Science degree in a technical field, preferably in Electrical engineering, industrial engineering or any equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience in leading international and interdisciplinary teams
  • Proactive mindset with strong execution abilities
  • Hands-on experience in industrial electronics/automation technology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project planning software such as MS Project.
  • Language skills: English is mandatory, Chinese will be an advantage.
