Job summary

POWER SYSTEMS R&D (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a PCB Layout Engineer to design and optimize PCBs for power supplies. You will perform layout using PADS, create GERBER files, and ensure DFM, EMI, and safety standards. Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, test and manufacturing teams to achieve cost-effective designs.

The role requires a Bachelor or Master in Power Electrical, and at least 4 years of PCB layout experience in power applications; strong knowledge of PADS is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Power Electrical or related electrical/automation.
• 4 years design experience in PCB Layout design for power supply (Telecom, Server, OBC ...).
• Experienced in PCB layout using PADS software.
• Knowledge in critical layout issues, EMI performance, manufacturability considerations and Safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, evaluation and modification of PCBs for power supplies.
• PCB Layout of high power applications using PADS.
• Create and maintain GERBER FILES and PCB specs for fabrication.
• Perform librarian functions for PCB and Schematic symbol parts conforming to DFM.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Electrical, Mechanical, Test, Safety and Manufacturing teams to ensure DFM.

What a typical day looks like:

• Working at the Research and Development Department and involved in the design, development, evaluation andmodification of printed circuit boards (PCBs) for Power Supplies of different wattage and application.
• Doing PCB Layout of high power applications using PADS software.
• Performs librarian functions such as PCB andSchematic symbol part creation conforming to Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
• Responsible in creating andmaintaining GERBER FILES and PCB Specs for all layers of the PCB and PCB Filmsfor PCB Fabrication.
• Cross-functional work withElectrical design, Mechanical design, Test engineering, Safety,factory/manufacturing and other departments to ensure Design for Manufacturing

Experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor or Master degree in Power Electrical or related electrical/automation
• 4 years design experience in PCB Layout design for power supply (Telecom, Server, OBC ...).
• Experienced in PCB layout using PADS software.
• Well experience in PCB assembly for more optimize and cost effective design. Knowledge in critical layout issues, EMI performance, manufacturability considerations and Safety standards.
