Job summary

TALENT TRADER GROUP PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a regional demand planning specialist to develop six-month forecasts and rolling forecasts across regions, incorporating inputs from product launches, wear and tear of parts, and country-level data.

You will work with HQ planning teams to align forecasts with supply constraints, establish regional planning processes, set safety stock and reorder points, and optimize inventory while maintaining service levels.

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain and planning.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop six-month regional demand forecasts and monthly rolling forecasts using statistical models.
• Analyze demand trends across countries, distributors, service partners, and parts criticality.
• Coordinate with HQ planning teams to align regional forecasts with supply capabilities.
• Establish and maintain regional parts planning processes and guidelines.
• Determine service levels, safety stock, reorder points, and quantities for each SKU.
• Collaborate with Order Management and Inventory Management to balance service levels and costs.
• Coordinate with Business Units and Product Engineering to ensure planning accuracy.
• Optimize inventory investment by adjusting planning parameters and reducing excess stock.
• Monitor planning KPIs and improve planning processes with Parts Excellence colleagues.
• Establish planning rules and thresholds aligned with downstream activities.
• Provide timely support to management and team on other assignments.

Job Description:

• Develop six-month regional demand forecasts and minimum monthly rolling forecasts using statistical models, service demand inputs, product launches and discontinuations, engineer insights on parts wear and tear, country-level inputs, and Parts Planning tools and systems to improve forecast accuracy and minimize bias.


• Analyse demand trends and signals across countries, distributors, service partners, and parts criticality to enhance and fine-tune forecasting parameters.


• Work closely with HQ planning teams to ensure regional forecasts are aligned with supply-side capabilities and constraints.


• Establish and maintain effective regional parts planning processes and guidelines.


• Determine appropriate service levels, safety stock, reorder and replenishment points, and reorder quantities for each SKU and market segment.


• Collaborate with Order Management and Inventory Management teams to balance regional service-level requirements against inventory costs.


• Coordinate with Business Units and Product Engineering teams to ensure planning accuracy and effective implementation.


• Optimise inventory investment through effective planning parameters, inventory balancing, and the reduction of excess and obsolete stock while maintaining targeted service levels.


• Partner with Parts Excellence colleagues to monitor planning KPIs and continuously improve planning processes, rules, and methodologies.


• Establish planning rules and thresholds to ensure alignment with downstream order management and inventory management activities.


• Provide timely support to management and the team on other assignments and responsibilities as required by business needs.
