ADECCO PERSONNEL PTE LTD is seeking a school counsellor to support secondary students with personal, social, and emotional wellbeing. The role focuses on building trust, guiding peer supporters, and coordinating with teachers to address student needs.

Responsibilities include counselling interventions, maintaining records, and facilitating discussions on topics like online bullying and stress management. Work is on-site with a fixed schedule and contract period.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Youth Work, or related Social Science discipline
• Minimum 3 years of counselling experience with youths aged 12 to 18 in schools, residential homes, or community centres
• Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with youths while maintaining professional boundaries
• Capacity to remain calm, empathetic, and patient during high-stress or confrontational situations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
• Commitment to the full contract period and specified working schedule

• Facilitate discussions on topics such as online bullying, stress management, and relationship skills to promote student well-being
• Refer students requiring further or specialized support to the designated school counsellor for follow-up
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of counselling sessions and related documentation
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the school to support student welfare and school objectives

Other Information

• Work Location: Yishun
• Contract Period: 1 January 2027 to 29 October 2027
• Working Days: Tuesday to Thursday
• Working Hours: 8:00am to 3:00pm, including a 1-hour lunch break
• Work Arrangement: On-site
