Hong Lim Curry Puff@Alexandra Village Pte Ltd is seeking a part-time Hawker Stall Assistant to keep curry puffs hot, serve customers, and assist in stall upkeep. Training is provided; no advanced cooking required, and experience is a bonus but not essential.

You will work in shifts, learn basic cashiering, and benefit from a daily meal allowance and uniform provision. The role emphasizes reliability, safety, and friendly service in a busy hawker centre.

Qualifications

• Valid WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1 (Food Hygiene) certificate.
• Able to stand for extended periods in a warm kitchen.
• Comfortable handling hot oil and using basic kitchen equipment safely.
• Able to work at least 3 shifts per week, including one weekend/public holiday.
• Basic spoken English and Chinese for logs and customer service.
• Punctual, reliable, clean and tidy work habits.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the deep fryer and follow timing/quality standards.
• Transfer products to warmer, rotate stock and maintain display.
• Take orders and serve customers, managing queues politely.
• Basic cashiering/POS and cash handling.
• Maintain stall cleanliness; daily opening/closing cleaning and dishwashing.
• Follow food safety & hygiene SOPs and conduct basic temperature checks.

Employment type: Part‑time
Hourly rate: $10-$13 per hour (depending on experience & shift)

Role summary

Keep our curry puffs hot and customers happy. You’ll deep‑fry frozen curry puffs to standard, keep the warmer stocked, take and serve orders, and handle basic stall housekeeping. No food preparation required. Training provided; experience is a bonus but not necessary.

Key responsibilities

Shifts & scheduling

• Typical shift options: [8.00am-2.00pm], [11:00am-3.00pm], [3:00pm-8:00pm] (includes short unpaid break)
• Additional hours may be offered based on stall needs
