Job requirements

The team is currently growing and we are seeking a Paralegal who has efficient proficiency in both English and Bahasa language skills (written and oral) to support our Singapore-based projects & construction practice in developing Indonesian clients. The role presents a fantastic opportunity to join an international firm of industry experts, acting on behalf of a growing and diverse local and international client base. This is a fixed-term position for 4 months, with the potential for extension based on business needs.

Key responsibilities
  • Conducting legal research related to a broad spectrum of contentious and non-contentious practice areas
  • Assist in conducting legal and regulatory research on the Indonesian market to support cross-border transactions
  • Translating and communicating in English and Bahasa language skills (written and oral).
  • Preparing documents summarising findings from document review (e.g. tables)
  • Assisting with electronic filing on, and monitoring of updates on e-litigation
  • Assisting lawyers and secretaries with litigation bundling and document production: photocopying and scanning as required, filing, collating and binding large volumes of matter correspondence and documentation
  • Cataloguing books and journals and helping to administer subscriptions and access to relevant legal and market information and databases
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including agreements, resolutions, and policies;
  • Conducting large document reviews and proof reading of materials
Candidate profile
  • Educated to Diploma in Law level, or local or foreign equivalent qualification
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to manage competing priorities and work with tight timelines
  • Proven ability to work as part of a successful team
  • Strong research and problem solving skills
  • Proven initiative and ability to work independently
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
