Job summary

Norton Rose Fulbright in Singapore seeks a Paralegal to support its Asset Finance (Shipping) practice, handling ship finance transactions, document drafting, and client coordination. You will work closely with fee earners across the practice and contribute to checklists and closing documents.

The role requires prior paralegal experience in asset finance or banking, excellent English, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Paralegal or legal executive with asset finance, shipping or banking & finance experience in a law firm.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Mandarin proficiency preferred to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Strong MS Office skills and comfort with legal research tools.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and preparing finance documents, corporate authorisations, legal opinions and other ancillary financing documents.
• Registering and deregistering charges with the relevant registries.
• Liaising with clients, foreign counsels, flag state registries and other stakeholders.
• Proof-reading, formatting and cross-checking documents for accuracy.
• Preparing conditions precedent reports and closing checklists.
• Assisting with consolidation and updating of know-how materials and precedent databases.
