Job summary

Norton Rose Fulbright Singapore is seeking an Associate to join its market-leading Aviation team within the Banking and Finance practice. You will work on complex aviation financing and leasing transactions for airlines, lessors and banks, often in cross-border matters, with supervision to develop your expertise.

Qualifications

• 2+ years PQE, qualified in Singapore, England & Wales or equivalent in a common law jurisdiction.
• Prior aviation matters experience is mandatory.

• Excellent management and organizational skills.
• Strong written and communication skills.
• First-class legal and drafting skills.

We are looking for an Associate to join our market-leading Aviation team within our Banking and Finance practice in Singapore.

Our global aviation group holds 10 Tier-1 rankings across the leading legal directories and we have always been at the cutting-edge of the development of innovative financing structures. We are ranked Band 1: Aviation Asset Finance - Global Market Leaders. Our work includes advising airlines, lessors and banks on purchase orders, finance and operating leases, various tax leases, export credit financings, private covered products, Islamic leases, restructuring and insolvencies, securitizations and pre-delivery payment financing. The transactions on which we advise are often awarded deals of the year by Airline Economics.

You will join a collaborative and supportive team that combines high standards with hands‑on training and meaningful responsibility. We are committed to helping you deepen your technical expertise, build strong client relationships and develop into a well‑rounded aviation finance lawyer.

From an early stage, you will work directly with colleagues and clients on complex, cross-border transactions, take ownership of key workstreams and develop experience across the full lifecycle of aviation financing and leasing matters. You will be involved in a diverse range of transactions, acting for airlines, lessors and banks. We are a globally integrated practice, meaning we often work jointly on transactions with colleagues in other offices.

We are seeking an Associate with a strong work ethic, proven technical expertise and drafting skills appropriate for their level and someone highly organised and capable of managing conditions precedent and ancillary documents on finance and leasing transactions with appropriate supervision.

The candidate should possess the ability to develop strategies, understand the commercial aspects of financial transactions, and provide practical, business-oriented advice to our international clients.

Skills and Experience Required

• - At least 2 years' PQE, qualified in Singapore, England & Wales or their equivalent in a common law jurisdiction.
• - Prior experience in aviation matters is mandatory.
