Job summary

COMMONWEALTH CULINARY CREATIONS PTE. LTD. is seeking a Packing Supervisor to oversee packing activities, ensure on-time dispatch, and maintain top quality and food safety standards in a bakery/food manufacturing setting.

The role requires 7+ years in a bakery environment, with supervisory experience, strong leadership, and expertise in FSSC/QA compliance. Morning and night shifts are possible, with a focus on efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher certification in Baking, Food Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in a bakery or food manufacturing setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, supervise and have hands-on on packing activities, ensuring that the required quantity is packed, labelled and dispatched according to schedule and product specifications.
• Complete packing and dispatching plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, revising schedules and resolving problems.
• Work closely with QA Team, coordinate and ensure that consistent quality of products is maintained.
• Maintain highest safety, sanitary and hygiene standards for a safe and clean work environment.
• Comply with FSSC, AVA and other local food authorities, including MUIS/Halal, requirements.
• Ensure proper storage, labelling and dispatching of products.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, supervise and have hands-on on packing activities, ensuring that the required quantity is packed, labelled and dispatched according to schedule and product specifications
• Complete packing and dispatching plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, revising schedules and resolving problems
• Work closely with QA Team, coordinate and ensure that consistent quality of products is maintained
• Maintain highest safety, sanitary and hygiene standards for a safe and clean work environment
• Comply with FSSC, AVA and other local food authorities, including MUIS/Halal, requirements
• Ensure proper storage, labelling and dispatching of products
• Perform or assist with administrative activities such as Production Planning and FSC/SAP production documentary
• Provide packing and dispatching information by compiling records and data, and maintain those updates frequently
• Ensure proper and safe use of all packing and labelling equipment and work areas
• Supervise staff to follow work and safety procedures
• Communicate job expectations, planning, work and safety procedures to staff
• Counsel and discipline staff
• Call for equipment repairs and area maintenance as necessary
• Recommend measures to improve work and service methods, equipment performance, quality control and increase efficiency and safety of department
• Perform any other duties assigned by Reporting Officer

Competencies & Experience

• Diploma or higher certification in Baking, Food Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in a bakery or food manufacturing setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Competent to be trainer
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Deep knowledge of baking processes, food safety standards, and equipment operations.
• Proficient in inventory systems, scheduling tools, and production reports.
• Possess Quality Control skills competency such as work instruction, thermometer, weighing scale, vernier calliper, etc.
• Ability to lead under pressure and adapt to production demands.
• Able to work morning / night shift.
