Job summary

Novena Bladeless Cataract Surgery & Eye Specialist Centre is hiring a full-time optometrist or optician to support ophthalmologists and the care team on-site. You will conduct refractions, assess visual function, and help with pre-operative workups for laser vision correction and cataract surgery, using OCT, topography, biometry and other diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

Provisional or Full registration with OOB Singapore is necessary.
Pre-registration fresh graduates are welcomed to apply as we provide training in refraction, contact lens fitting, and operating diagnostic devices such as OCT, corneal topography, biometry, pachymetry, and visual field analyzer.

Responsibilities

Perform refractions (trial frames or phoropter) and assess visual function.
Assist in pre-operative work-up for laser vision correction, cataract surgery and other eye diseases.
Document findings accurately and educate patients on eye conditions, treatment options and post-procedure care.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient clinic flow and high-quality patient experiences.
Prescribe glasses, myopia control glasses and contact lenses.
