Job summary

Qualifications

• Recognised nursing qualification, with SNB registration.
• 1–2 years of relevant clinical or operating theatre experience preferred.
• Enrolled Nurses and Staff Nurses may apply with appropriate role assignments.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Willingness to rotate day shifts, with early reporting times and occasional overtime.
• Commitment to a minimum 3-month contract.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic pre-operative and post-operative nursing care in day surgery and operating theatre settings.
• Assist with ophthalmic procedures such as eye dressing, eye drops, and glucose monitoring.
• Monitor vital signs and report any changes promptly to the team.
• Support patient transfers to and from the operating theatre and assist with setup.
• Deliver pre- and post-operative education and discharge instructions to patients and caregivers.
• Maintain ward cleanliness, safety, and proper inventory of supplies.
• Perform scrub, circulating, anaesthetic support, and recovery room nursing duties.
• Prepare instruments, equipment, and consumables per surgical requirements.
• Document clinical observations accurately and collaborate with surgeons and anaesthetists.
