is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide perioperative nursing support for ophthalmic procedures, with strong operating theatre scrub experience, particularly in cataract surgery and LASIK/refractive procedures. Based at Royal Square at Novena, you will prepare the theatre and instruments, maintain sterile technique, and assist surgeons while delivering pre- and post-operative care.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Registered Nurse qualification recognized in Singapore.
Valid practicing certificate with the Singapore Nursing Board.
Operating theatre scrub nursing experience preferred.
Experience in ophthalmology, cataract surgery, LASIK, or day surgery settings is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

Perform scrub nurse duties for ophthalmic surgeries, including cataract and LASIK procedures.
Prepare operating theatre, surgical instruments, implants, consumables, and specialized ophthalmic equipment.
Maintain strict aseptic technique and infection control standards throughout procedures.
Assist the surgeon during surgery by anticipating surgical requirements and ensuring smooth workflow.
Perform surgical counts and documentation according to established protocols.
Assist with preparation and setup for cataract procedures, including IOL implantation cases.
