Job summary

Linde Gas Singapore Pte. Ltd. is hiring an Operations Trainee to grow into an Operations Technician at our Jurong Island facility. You will learn plant operation, safety practices, sampling, and process improvements while contributing to daily reliability.

The role emphasizes safe operation, adherence to SOPs, and coordination with maintenance and quality teams. Diploma/NITEC graduates with a technical mindset are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Diploma/NITEC or higher in Engineering is preferred.
• Less than 2 years of working experience.
• Safety oriented and vigilant about hazards.
• Basic knowledge of instrumentation and rotating machinery operation.
• Proficient with basic word processing and spreadsheet tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate the plant in a safe and efficient manner following SOPs.
• Identify abnormalities in process, instruments, equipment or machinery.
• Take regular samples, analyze and record results.
• Coordinate with maintenance and prepare units for safe handover.
• Issue permits to work and perform checks as per each permit.
• Maintain documentation and filing within the unit operation.
• Contribute to productivity improvements and quality assurance activities.
• Maintain all documentation in an accurate 'as built' condition.
• Participate in audits and help close out findings.

Your Principle Responsibilities

• Operate the plant in safe & efficient manner by following the standard operating procedures
• Identify any abnormalities in process, instrument, equipment or machine.
• Take regular samples as per scheduled, analyze and record
• Coordinate with maintenance crew and prepare the unit/equipment for safe handover for maintenance
• Issue permits to work and perform the necessary checks as stipulated in each work permit.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing system is maintained within unit operation.
• Continuous improvement of job tasks to maximize productivity
• Implementation of quality assurance activities
• Maintain all documentation in an "as built" condition
• Participate in any internal / external audit and help in closing out the points

Requirements

• Diploma, Nitec or Higher NITEC Graduate in Chemical Engineering is preferred, but we welcome applicants from other Engineering Fields as well
• Less than 2 years of working experience
• Safety oriented
• Basic knowledge of instrumentation and rotating machinery operation.
• Basic IT knowledge in word processing and spreadsheets

The right candidate will be offered a basic salary + allowances + completion bonus.
