Job summary

Linde is seeking an Operations Trainee in Singapore to learn and grow into an Operations Technician role. You will work with the plant team on safe and efficient operations, following SOPs and supporting continuous improvement.

The role offers hands-on exposure at Jurong Island, interaction with maintenance, quality assurance and audits, and development of core process-operating skills for a future engineering career.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Nitec or Higher NITEC in Chemical Engineering preferred.
• Less than 2 years of working experience.
• Safety oriented and compliant mindset.
• Basic knowledge of instrumentation and rotating machinery operation.
• Basic IT knowledge in word processing and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Operate the plant in a safe and efficient manner by following SOPs.
• Identify abnormalities in process, instrument, equipment or machine.
• Take regular samples as scheduled, analyze and record.
• Coordinate with maintenance and prepare unit for safe handover for maintenance.
• Issue permits to work and perform checks as per each permit.
• Maintain documentation and filing within the unit operation.
• Continuously improve tasks to maximize productivity.
• Implement quality assurance activities.
• Maintain documentation in an 'as built' condition.
• Participate in internal/external audits and close out points.

Your Principle Responsibilities

• Operate the plant in safe & efficient manner by following the standard operating procedures
• Identify any abnormalities in process, instrument, equipment or machine.
• Take regular samples as per scheduled, analyze and record
• Coordinate with maintenance crew and prepare the unit/equipment for safe handover for maintenance
• Issue permits to work and perform the necessary checks as stipulated in each work permit.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing system is maintained within unit operation.
• Continuous improvement of job tasks to maximize productivity
• Implementation of quality assurance activities
• Maintain all documentation in an "as built" condition
• Participate in any internal / external audit and help in closing out the points

Requirements

• Diploma, Nitec or Higher NITEC Graduate in Chemical Engineering is preferred, but we welcome applicants from other Engineering Fields as well
• Less than 2 years of working experience
• Safety oriented
• Basic knowledge of instrumentation and rotating machinery operation.
• Basic IT knowledge in word processing and spreadsheets

The right candidate will be offered a basic salary + allowances + completion bonus.
