Qualifications

• 2–4 years' experience in funeral parlour/industry advantageous
• Knowledge of religious, cultural, burial practices
• Independent self-starter with problem solving and organising skills
• Proficient with basic computer software
• Class 3 driving licence advantageous
• Able to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Building/ hospitality experience encouraged
• Open to candidates without industry experience but interest in the field

Responsibilities

• Overview and maintenance of building facilities
• Carry out minor mechanical and electrical repairs related to buildings and facilities
• Conduct regular building inspections
• Ensure all equipment is operational and well maintained
• Assist in cleaning parlours for timely turnaround
• Prepare parlours according to religion and bereaved family wishes
• Record reservations in the booking system
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned

The Role

The role is to ensure that the Building are well maintained and operated.

In addition, the Operations Officer / Executive has to assist and manage the reservations of the funeral parlour halls.

Responsibilities

• Overview and Maintenance of the building facilities
• Carry out minor mechanical and electrical repairs in relation to buildings and facilities
• Conduct regular building inspection
• Ensure all equipment in the building are operational and well maintained
• Assist to ensure all Parlours are cleaned in a timely manner for efficient turnaround
• Assist to prepare the funeral parlour in accordance to the religion and wishes of the bereaved family
• Assist to ensure that reserved parlours are recorded in the booking system
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Skills & Experience

• 2-4 years' experience of relevant experience (funeral parlour/industry is an advantage)
• Industry Knowledge of religious, cultural, customs and burial practices
• Independent self-starter with strong problem solving and organising skills
• Conversant with basic computer software
• With Class 3 driving license will be advantageous
• Able to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Building Management / Managing Agent / Hospitality experience is encouraged to apply
