Hydrax in Singapore is seeking an Operations & Finance intern to support both operations and financial industry processes. This internship presents an opportunity to gain insights into the transition of traditional financial institutions to blockchain technology.

As an intern, you'll engage in responsibilities such as supporting account openings and client onboarding, while also getting involved in system development and process documentation. Ideal candidates are current university undergraduates with a keen interest in financial markets.

We are looking for a driven individual to join us as an Operations & Finance intern. This internship may be full-time or part-time. Interns will have a good exposure to both operations and financial industry knowledge, and will benefit from being at the forefront of traditional financial institutions’ transition to blockchain technology.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the operations (custody) team
• Participate in business-as-usual processes (account opening, settlement, payments, and reconciliation) are executed accurately and timely
• Participate in system development projects
• Prepare regular statistical and management reports
• Support the review and documentation of operational processes
• Support client onboarding (AML/KYC) and client servicing

Requirements

• Current university undergraduate with an interest in financial markets and fintech
• Basic knowledge of operational best practices and regulatory requirements
• Basic understanding or experience in securities / derivatives / fixed income / FX instruments and market practices in issuance, trading and custody operations
• Self-motivated and particularly interested in custody operations
• Driven and takes initiative
• Ability to manage time effectively and comfortable working within tight deadlines
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Comfortable in working in a startup environment
• Ability to read and write basic code would be advantageous
