Job summary

SGTraDex Technologies Pte. Ltd., a subsidiary of IMDA, is seeking an Operations Engineer to enable secure and scalable data exchange across Singapore’s digital infrastructure.

You will support API integrations, oversee SIT/UAT coordination, and provide production support while engaging with internal and external stakeholders to drive operational excellence. The role emphasizes incident management, monitoring, and continuous improvement, leveraging modern AI-powered tools to enhance efficiency

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in Operations Engineering, Production Support, API Integration Support, or similar in Agile environment.
• Hands-on experience supporting API-based platforms and integrations, including troubleshooting REST APIs and using API testing tools.
• Proven experience coordinating SIT, UAT, and production rollout activities.
• Strong understanding of system integration concepts and end-to-end business process validation.
• Experience in incident, problem and change management with cross-team coordination.
• Good knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS, with production monitoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support API-based integrations between DEX platforms and ecosystem partners, ensuring secure, reliable data exchange.
• Coordinate end-to-end partner onboarding, including API integration, connectivity validation, SIT, UAT, and production readiness.
• Collaborate with engineers, DevOps, product managers, and stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure delivery outcomes.
• Analyze API transactions, logs and metrics to troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis.
• Lead incident, problem and change management, including triage, communications, and deployments support.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, incident reports and SOPs.
• Drive continuous service improvement using automation and AI-powered tools where appropriate.

What the role is:

DEX is Singapore’s trusteddata-exchange digital utility - powering secure and interoperable data flowsacross key sectors such as Supply Chain & Logistics (SGTraDex), BuiltEnvironment (SGBuildex), Healthcare (SGHealthdex), and more to come.

As an OperationsEngineer, you will play a key role in enabling the successful operation andadoption of DEX platforms by supporting API integrations, testing activities,partner onboarding, and production services. You will collaborate with internaland external stakeholders to drive operational excellence, continuously improveprocesses, and leverage modern technologies, including AI-powered tools, toenhance productivity and service delivery.

What you will be working on[SM1]:

• Manage and support API-based integrationsbetween DEX platforms and ecosystem partners, ensuring secure, reliable, andseamless data exchange.


• Coordinate end-to-end partner onboarding,including API Integration, connectivity validation, System Integration Testing(SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production readiness, and releaseactivities.


• Collaborate with business stakeholders,external partners, Product Managers, Software Engineers, and DevOps teams tovalidate requirements, define test scenarios, and ensure successful deliveryoutcomes.


• AnalyseAPI transactions, application logs, and system metrics to troubleshoot issues,perform root cause analysis, and drive timely resolution.


• Lead and coordinate incident, problem,and change management activities, including triage, impact assessment,stakeholder communications, escalation, service restoration, and deploymentsupport.


• Develop and maintain operationaldocumentation, including test plans, runbooks, API support guides, incidentreports, standard operating procedures, and knowledge articles.


• Drive continuous service improvement byanalysing operational trends, recurring issues, testing effectiveness, andstakeholder feedback, leveraging automation and AI-powered tools whereappropriate to enhance operational efficiency.


• Ensure compliance with security,governance, and operational controls in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001 andorganisational standards.


• Participate in on-call support andrespond to critical production incidents outside of business hours whenrequired.

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focusedOperations Engineer with strong experience in API integrations, SIT/UATcoordination, production support, and stakeholder engagement. The idealcandidate should possess excellent troubleshooting capabilities, strongcommunication skills, and a continuous improvement mindset, including theability to leverage modern AI-powered tools to enhance operationaleffectiveness, testing quality, and delivery outcomes.

You should have:

• At least 5 years of experience in Operations Engineering, Production Support, API Integration Support, Technical Project Delivery, Production Support, or similar operational support role within an Agile environment.


• Hands-on experience supporting API-based platforms and integrations, including troubleshooting REST APIs, analysing API requests/responses, and working with API testing tools such as Postman, Redocly, Swagger, or equivalent.


• Proven experience coordinating and executing System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production rollout activities.


• Strong understanding of system integration concepts, application workflows, and end-to-end business process validation.


• Experience supporting and maintaining B2B integrations, digital platforms, data exchange ecosystems, or enterprise applications would be highly desirable.


• Experience in incident, problem and change management, with the ability to coordinate and drive incident resolution across multiple teams.


• Good knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably Amazon Web Services (AWS), and familiarity with production monitoring and observability tools.


• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills, with the ability to make sound decisions during high-pressure situations.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate and present effectively with engineering teams, vendors and business stakeholders.


• Experience working in cross-functional teams comprising Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Product Managers and other technical specialists.


• Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) practices and frameworks such as ITIL will be an advantage.


• A Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
