We are seeking a passionate and experienced Operation Theatre Technician to join our newly established Ambulatory Surgical Centre in Singapore. In this role, you will provide operational, technical, and environmental support to the Operating Theatre, ensuring the safe, efficient, and smooth conduct of surgical procedures.
You will work closely with the perioperative nursing team, surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to maintain theatre readiness, support patient care activities, and contribute to delivering high-quality, patient-centered surgical services.
Prepare operating theatres, equipment, instruments and consumables for surgical procedures
Assist the perioperative nursing team during surgical procedures within scope of practice
Support patient transfers, positioning and transportation to ensure safe patient care
Perform theatre setup, turnover, cleaning, and disinfection in accordance with infection control standards
Conduct basic equipment checks and assist in the handling, storage and maintenance of instruments and equipment
Manage theatre supplies, stock replenishment and inventory organization
Complete assigned checklists and operational records accurately
Maintain accurate operational records and ensure a clean, safe and organized theatre environment
Support training, quality improvement initiatives, emergency preparedness activities and operational readiness requirements
During the start-up phase, assist with theatre setup, equipment preparation, stock organization, workflow development and operational readiness activities
Minimum N-Level or O-Level qualification
Previous experience in an operating theatre orambulatory surgical centre is preferred
Operating Theatre Technician (OTT) training or certification will be an added advantage
Familiarity with surgical equipment, instruments and theatre workflows is advantageous
Good understanding of infection prevention and workplace safety
Able to assist with patient transfers and movement of equipment
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
Organized, responsible and attentive to detail
Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities in a growing ambulatory surgical centre
