Job summary

Singapore National Eye Centre is seeking an OT Technician Associate to coordinate and support the surgical team in preparation of equipment for the daily surgical list, and to ensure the functionality of video camera systems.

You will assist in perioperative patient care, maintain asepsis, help transport to recovery, position patients, adjust lighting and microscopes, anticipate needs, and maintain scrub room supplies.

Qualifications

• OT Technician Associate experience preferred
• Relevant OT/UROH related healthcare qualification is desirable

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the surgical team in preparation of equipment for the daily surgical list.
• Knowledgeable in the functions usage, care and maintenance of equipment.
• Ensure the functionality of video camera system.
• Assist the surgical team in safe perioperative care for patient in the operating room.
• Observe the principles of aseptic during a sterile procedure.
• Assist in safe transporting of patient to and fro the recovery room.
• Assist the surgeon in positioning the patient for surgery.
• Adjust operating lights and microscope.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
• Demonstrates competency in general routine chores
• Report defective equipment/facilities.
• Maintain and replenish supplies in the scrub room
• Replenishes linens, scrub suits and caps.
• Perform pantry duties and ensure sufficient rations supplies.
• Exercise economy and appropriate use of utilities, resources and supplies.

Education

Higher NITEC / NITEC / GCE N / O / A Level / Equivalent / WSQ / SSG Higher Cert in Healthcare (Nursing) in OT & SST / Equivalent
