Job summary

PERSOL Singapore PTE LTD invites applications for an Operating Theatre Technician/Assistant in the public healthcare sector in the West region. The role involves ensuring readiness of OT for each patient, assisting surgical teams, and maintaining equipment and room hygiene.

You will work in rotational shifts and be part of a team focusing on patient safety, with AWS and performance bonuses as part of compensation. Previous OT exposure is valued.

Qualifications

• WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support or relevant working experience as an Operating Theatre Technician.
• Possess initiative and keen to learn.

Responsibilities

• Check operating lights for clarity and good functioning.
• Check suction and diathermy machines for cleanliness and good working order.
• Clean, check and prepare operating table and accessories.
• Prepare the operating room for each patient scheduled on the operating list.
• Assist in the safe transfer of patient from trolley to operating table and vice versa.
• Assist in positioning the patient.
• Assist surgeon in application of tourniquet.
• Adjust and focus the operating lights and assist nurses in patient care.
• Perform daily inventory check on positioning aids and accessories.
• Perform cleaning of the operating room in between cases within 15mins.
